This monument in Warsaw honours the fighters of the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising against Nazi German forces. Unveiled in 1948 on the ruins of the former ghetto, it was designed by sculptor Nathan Rapoport. The western face features a powerful bronze relief of armed insurgents led by a defiant central figure, while the reverse depicts a mournful procession of Jews being driven to their deaths. It stands opposite the museum of Polish Jewish history and remains a key site of remembrance.
