This museum of Spanish art occupies the former residence of the writer Enrique Larreta in the Belgrano district of Buenos Aires. Its rooms display Spanish paintings, altarpieces, furniture, and decorative arts assembled by the diplomat and novelist, evoking a Hispanic aesthetic within an Argentine setting. A celebrated Andalusian-style garden, planted with jacarandas and clipped hedges, surrounds the house and is considered one of the finest in the city. Its intimate scale sets it apart from larger institutions.
