This distinctive planetarium in the Palermo parklands opened in 1966, its geometric concrete dome resembling a stylised planet ringed by ramps and lawns. Designed by Enrique Jan, the building became an icon of Buenos Aires modernism and a fixture of school outings. Inside, a projector casts the southern night sky across the domed ceiling, while surrounding exhibits explain astronomy and space exploration. A reflecting pool and gardens frame the structure, making it a popular gathering point on weekends.
