This Nakanoshima museum holds one of the world's finest collections of Chinese, Korean and Japanese ceramics, built around a famous group of wares assembled by a Japanese company. Several pieces are designated national treasures, including refined Song celadons and Korean celadon-glazed vessels. The galleries use natural side lighting to reveal the subtle glazes as they would have appeared in daylight. Its concentrated focus on ceramic art makes it a pilgrimage for collectors and potters worldwide.
