DOX Centre for Contemporary Art

A private centre for contemporary art in a converted factory in the Holešovice district of Prague. It presents changing exhibitions of art, architecture and design, often addressing social and political themes. A striking wooden airship-like structure, named Gulliver, projects from the rooftop as a space for readings and events. The industrial galleries provide flexible room for large installations and multimedia work. The centre positions itself as a place for critical reflection as much as aesthetic display.
