The Plaza de Toros de Santamaría is a Moorish-revival bullring in central Bogotá, completed in 1931 with tiers of red brick arches and a broad sanded arena. For decades it hosted a prominent bullfighting season, though the practice has grown contested and the venue now also stages concerts and cultural events. Its circular form and decorative brickwork make it a distinctive downtown landmark near the national park. The building is frequently cited in debates over the city's traditions and the future use of the space.
