This row of grand Edwardian mansions lines the western edge of the Queen's Park Savannah and represents the flamboyant architecture built by Trinidad's wealthy families around 1904. Each house has a distinct character, from the French Baroque of the Roomor residence to the German Rhineland turrets of Stollmeyer's Castle and the Indian-influenced Whitehall. Several now serve government functions. Together they form one of the Caribbean's most striking colonial-era streetscapes, best appreciated on a walk along the Savannah.
