The National Pantheon Museum of Haiti, a partly subterranean institution on the Champ de Mars honouring the nation's founders and history. Its curved concrete roofline rises above ground while galleries descend below, sheltering the tombs of independence leaders and exhibits spanning Taíno artefacts, the anchor attributed to Columbus's flagship, colonial-era objects and revolutionary weapons. Portraits and documents trace the world's first successful slave revolt. The museum offers the most complete survey of Haitian history in the capital.
