Set in a preserved 1909 fire station in downtown Denver, this museum recreates the working life of early-20th-century firefighters, complete with brass sliding poles, a hayloft for the horses that once pulled the engines, and a collection of antique fire apparatus. Interactive exhibits let visitors try on gear and learn about fire safety, making it popular with families. The building itself, Fire Station No. 1, remained in service for decades before conversion.
