This historic house near the Capitol served for decades as the headquarters of the National Woman's Party and is one of the oldest residential properties on Capitol Hill. Designated a national monument, it interprets the campaign for women's suffrage and equal rights, preserving furnishings, banners, and archives. The building was the workplace of activist Alice Paul, a key strategist for the amendment granting women the vote, and holds rich suffrage-era artifacts.
