Housed inside the former Genete Leul Palace of Emperor Haile Selassie on the university's Sidist Kilo campus, this museum presents the material culture of Ethiopia's many peoples. Galleries follow a life-cycle theme, from birth to death, alongside displays of processional crosses, icons and musical instruments. The emperor's preserved bedroom and bathroom survive on the upper floor. Visitors also see rooms dedicated to religious art spanning Orthodox Christianity and Islam, set within grand palace interiors.
