Opened in 2019 within the grounds of the National Palace, Unity Park transformed the historic imperial compound into a public attraction. Visitors tour restored throne rooms, banquet halls and the private quarters of former emperors, alongside a pavilion representing Ethiopia's regional states. The complex also contains landscaped gardens, fountains and a small zoo housing lions descended from Haile Selassie's collection. Once strictly off-limits, the palace precinct now offers a rare look at the seat of Ethiopian power.
