This landscaped memorial marks the site of the 1998 United States embassy bombing in downtown Nairobi, an attack that killed hundreds and injured thousands. The park was created on the cleared bomb site as a place of remembrance, with a wall listing the names of those who died and a small museum documenting the event and its aftermath. Sculpted stone and quiet lawns give the grounds a contemplative character amid the busy city centre. Visitors can view twisted debris preserved from the blast and displays on recovery and reconciliation.
