The Nabemba Tower is the tallest building in Brazzaville and a modern symbol of the Congolese capital, rising well above the low-lying riverside city. Completed in the 1980s and named after the country's highest mountain, its cylindrical form houses offices and has been used by state and corporate tenants. Its height makes it a navigational landmark visible across Brazzaville and even from Kinshasa on the far bank. The tower represents the ambitions of the oil era and stands out sharply against the surrounding skyline.
