Dar Adiyel is an eighteenth-century palace in the Fes medina, built during the Alaouite period and later used for various official and cultural purposes, including as a conservatory of Andalusian music. Arranged around a courtyard with a fountain, its halls preserve carved plaster, painted cedar and zellij characteristic of aristocratic Fassi houses. The palace has been associated with the preservation of the classical Andalusian musical tradition for which the city is renowned. It offers a glimpse of the old city's cultural life.
