Morocco Mall is a large seaside shopping and leisure complex that opened in 2011 on Casablanca's Corniche in the Aïn Diab district, and was among the biggest malls in Africa at its launch. Beyond hundreds of shops and restaurants it holds a cylindrical walk-through aquarium, an indoor musical fountain, an ice rink and an IMAX cinema. Families come as much for the entertainment and ocean-front promenade as for shopping. Its scale and beachside setting made it a landmark of contemporary Casablanca.
