The Robert Mouawad Private Museum occupies a richly decorated early-20th-century palace in the Zokak el-Blat quarter of Beirut, built by the collector Henri Philippe Pharaoun. Its rooms are filled with Islamic art, antique furniture, ceramics, manuscripts, and archaeological artefacts. The mansion is a highlight, with carved wooden ceilings, marble courtyards, and mosaics blending Levantine and European tastes. Later acquired by the jeweller Robert Mouawad, it opened as a museum showcasing the collection and architecture.
