Paco Park is a former municipal cemetery in Manila, laid out in the early 19th century as a circular walled burial ground for the Spanish colonial elite. Its concentric stone walls, once lined with burial niches, enclose a tranquil garden with a small chapel at the centre. The national hero Jose Rizal was briefly interred here after his execution before his remains were moved. Now a quiet public park and popular venue for weddings and evening concerts, it offers a peaceful retreat from the surrounding city streets.
