A two-site art museum in central Tainan pairing a restored Japanese-era police station with a striking contemporary building of stacked, angular white volumes. The historic wing preserves the 1931 civic architecture and its courtyards, while the newer hall shelters galleries beneath a fractured, tree-like canopy roof that filters the southern sun. Together they present Taiwanese and Asian art from classical ink painting to contemporary work. The pentagonal newer structure has become a landmark of the city's revival.
