A small former island, now joined to the mainland, on the coast of Incheon that developed into a popular seaside amusement and dining district. Its waterfront promenade is lined with cafes, seafood restaurants, and a compact amusement park with a disco-themed pirate-ship ride and a viewing tower, drawing day-trippers from nearby Seoul. The area also carries historical weight as the landing point of a decisive amphibious operation during the Korean War. Ferries depart from here to nearby islands in the Yellow Sea.
