This is the oldest public park in Lviv, laid out on a hillside beside the university in the early modern period and reshaped over the centuries into a landscaped garden. Winding paths climb between old trees, lawns and monuments, offering shaded walks and views back toward the domes and towers of the centre. Named after a celebrated writer, it sits opposite the grand former parliament building now used by the university. Students and families use it year-round, and its mature greenery is especially pleasant in the warmer months.
