Kharkiv Museum of Fine Arts

This art museum in Kharkiv holds one of the region's oldest and richest collections, spanning Ukrainian, Russian and Western European painting, graphics and decorative arts. Its holdings include works by noted realist masters as well as icons, prints and sculpture assembled over more than a century. The collection grew from a university drawing cabinet into a full public gallery in historic mansions in the centre. Visitors move through rooms of landscapes, portraits and genre scenes.
