The Mirror Stream is an ornamental fountain and gazebo in central Kharkiv, built after the Second World War in a curved neoclassical pavilion set within a small landscaped garden. Water flows in tiers around a white colonnaded rotunda, and the surrounding beds and benches make it a favoured spot for wedding photographs and evening strolls. Facing the opera house, the ensemble has become one of the city's affectionate symbols. Visitors gather here in warm weather to enjoy the cool of the water and the shade of the arbours.
