This Neolithic archaeological site on the outskirts of Skopje preserves the remains of a farming settlement inhabited thousands of years ago. Excavations uncovered house foundations, pottery, and ritual objects, most famously terracotta figurines of a seated Great Mother goddess linked to fertility cults. Reconstructed dwellings built on the original layout give visitors a sense of prehistoric village life. As an open-air museum, it offers a rare window into the early agricultural communities that once occupied the fertile valley of the Vardar.
