The Reok Palace is a flamboyant Art Nouveau apartment building in Szeged, completed in 1907 and often likened to a blossoming water lily. Its facade flows with sinuous stucco tendrils, wrought-iron balconies, and floral motifs in shades of green and lavender, exemplifying the Hungarian Secession style that flourished as the city was rebuilt after the great flood. Once a private residence, it now serves as a regional arts and exhibition centre, standing among the finest surviving examples of turn-of-the-century decorative architecture.
