UFO Observation Deck

The UFO tower crowns the pylon of the SNP Bridge over the Danube in Bratislava, a striking piece of socialist-era engineering completed in 1972. Its saucer-shaped platform sits roughly eighty-five metres above the river and holds a restaurant and an open observation deck reached by an internal lift. From the top, visitors survey the castle, the Old Town, the sprawling Petrzalka housing estate, and the surrounding plains stretching toward Austria and Hungary. The single-pylon suspension design remains one of the city's boldest modern landmarks.
