The Old Town Hall in Bratislava is a complex of buildings assembled from the fourteenth century onward around a picturesque courtyard, forming one of the oldest stone structures in the city. Its tall clock tower bears a cannonball lodged in the wall, a reminder of Napoleon's siege in 1809. The building now houses the Bratislava City Museum, with exhibits on the city's history and dungeons once used for trials and torture. Its arcaded Renaissance courtyard hosts concerts and markets, anchoring the surrounding Main Square.
