The Loreta is a Baroque pilgrimage complex near Prague Castle, built around a replica of the Holy House of Loreto and enclosed by cloisters and chapels. Constructed from the 1620s, it promoted Catholic devotion during the Counter-Reformation. Its bell tower carries a carillon of twenty-seven bells that chimes a Marian hymn on the hour, and its treasury displays lavish liturgical objects, including a monstrance set with thousands of diamonds. The gilded interiors, frescoed ceilings, and quiet courtyard make it a richly decorated devotional site.
