Turku Orthodox Church

The Orthodox church on Turku's market square is a nineteenth-century building crowned by a green dome, constructed to serve the Russian garrison and community during the period of imperial rule. Its neoclassical form and prominent position at the edge of the main square make it a distinctive landmark among the surrounding commercial buildings.
