This medieval friary church in the heart of Graz is marked by its tall tower and a Gothic choir that survives from the fourteenth century. Damaged in the Second World War, its rebuilt nave was fitted with striking modern stained glass and furnishings that contrast with the surviving old stonework. A quiet cloister runs alongside, and the surrounding lanes of the Franciscan quarter form one of the most atmospheric corners of the old town. The church remains an active place of worship within the protected historic centre.
