This slender telecommunications tower crowns the Tibidabo ridge overlooking Barcelona, designed by a renowned British architect and completed for the 1992 Olympic Games. Its distinctive form suspends the platforms from cables around a narrow central shaft, giving it a delicate silhouette against the sky. An external glass elevator carries visitors to an observation deck with sweeping panoramas of the city, the coast, and the surrounding mountains. The structure marks the Olympic-era transformation of the city.
