This colorful house in the Gràcia district was one of Antoni Gaudí's earliest major commissions, completed in the 1880s as a summer residence for a stockbroker. Its exuberant facade combines brick, rough stone, and vividly patterned green-and-white ceramic tiles arranged in bold geometric bands. Moorish and oriental influences run through the design, from the tiled surfaces to the intricate ironwork of the gates. Long a private home, it opened to the public as a museum in recent years, revealing richly decorated interiors.
