This hilltop site in the Turó de la Rovira district preserves the remains of anti-aircraft gun positions built during the Spanish Civil War to defend the city from bombing raids. After the war the platforms became the foundation of an informal shantytown, later cleared, and the concrete structures now form a rugged viewpoint. From the summit, a panoramic vista sweeps across the entire city from the Sagrada Família to the sea. The site combines wartime history with one of the finest free viewpoints in Barcelona.
