On the rue Saint-Antoine in the Marais, this church is a landmark of French Baroque architecture, built in the early 17th century for the Jesuit order under the patronage of Louis XIII. Its lofty dome, one of the first raised over a Paris church, and its ornate facade drew inspiration from the mother church of the Jesuits in Rome. Inside, a soaring nave holds paintings, including a work by Delacroix, and elaborate decoration. Its dome remains a feature of the Marais skyline.
