One of the oldest bridges in Paris, this stone span links the Île Saint-Louis to the Right Bank and dates from the early 17th century, named after the developer who laid out the island. Its five arches once carried tall houses along its parapet, though these were later demolished. Sometimes called the Bridge of Lovers, it offers picturesque views of the island's quays and mansions. The weathered stonework and elegant arches make it a favoured subject for photographers exploring the historic river islands.
