On the rue Saint-Antoine near the Place des Vosges, this elegant mansion is one of the finest surviving examples of early 17th-century Parisian architecture. Built in the Louis XIII style, its richly carved facades, symmetrical courtyard and formal garden with an orangery display the refinement of the age. Once home to the Duke of Sully, minister to Henri IV, it now houses a heritage body and is linked by a garden passage to the arcades of the Place des Vosges. The sculpted allegories of the seasons and elements adorn its courtyard.
