Set beside Glasgow Cathedral, this museum explores the role of religion across cultures and eras through art, artefacts and everyday objects. Opened in 1993, it takes its name from the city's patron saint and presents faiths side by side rather than favouring any one tradition. Highlights include Salvador Dalí's painting of the crucifixion and a Japanese Zen garden in the courtyard, the first of its kind in Britain. The stone building echoes the style of a medieval bishop's residence that once stood nearby.
