Leighton House in Holland Park was the studio-home of Victorian artist Frederic Leighton, built over three decades from the 1860s as a private palace of art. Its centrepiece is the Arab Hall, lined with genuine Islamic tiles from Damascus and Cairo beneath a gilded dome and fountain. The building blends Aesthetic Movement interiors with a grand top-lit studio where Leighton painted. Restored and reopened, it displays works by Leighton and his circle among the original decorative schemes.
