Dominica's highest peak, a steep rainforest-covered volcano protected within Morne Diablotin National Park. The Syndicate area on its lower slopes is the best place to look for the endemic sisserou and jaco parrots, while the summit trail is a tough, muddy climb for experienced hikers.
