This living-heritage village on the east coast interprets the culture of the Kalinago, the last organized community of Island Carib descendants in the Caribbean, who retain a self-governed territory on Dominica. Set beside a river gorge and waterfall, reconstructed dwellings and craft demonstrations show canoe-building, basketry, cassava processing, and herbal knowledge. Guided trails link the structures through forest, offering insight into an Indigenous culture that endured the colonial displacement felt across the region.
