Occupying a restored colonial market building on the Roseau waterfront, this small museum interprets the natural history, Indigenous Kalinago heritage, colonial period, and social life of Dominica. Displays include Amerindian artefacts, exhibits on slavery and emancipation, and material on the island's geology and rainforest ecology. Its bayfront location beside the old market ties it to the historic trading heart of the town. The collection provides a concise introduction to the culture of the Nature Isle.
