A small granite island off Praslin, once a leper colony and now a national park where more than a hundred Aldabra giant tortoises roam free. It is one of only two islands where the coco de mer palm grows naturally, and a boardwalk trail crosses mangroves between its beaches. Rangers run a tortoise nursery near the old doctor's house.
