A delta and floodplain reserve where the Rusizi River empties into Lake Tanganyika just outside Bujumbura. Boat trips glide past hippos, sitatunga antelope, and dense birdlife in the papyrus channels. The park was long associated with Gustave, an outsized Nile crocodile of local legend.
