The second-largest island in Komodo National Park, Rinca supports a significant population of Komodo dragons and is generally considered to offer more reliable wildlife sightings than the more-visited Komodo Island. Rangers lead guided walks through open savannah and dry coastal forest, where buffalo, wild boar, and deer also roam. The island's Loh Buaya ranger station sits in a sheltered bay accessible by boat from Labuan Bajo.
