Komodo Island

The largest island in Komodo National Park and the primary habitat of the Komodo dragon, the world's largest living lizard. Savannah-covered hills and dry deciduous forest characterize the interior, while pink-sand beaches such as Pantai Merah line parts of the coast. The surrounding waters support large pelagic species and strong currents that attract experienced divers from across the region.
