The deep natural harbour between Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula is flanked by one of the world's most recognizable urban skylines. The Tsim Sha Tsui promenade on the Kowloon waterfront provides the canonical south-facing view of the Hong Kong Island towers against the Star Ferry crossing, with light best at dusk when building illumination intensifies. The Avenue of Stars along the waterfront runs parallel to the viewing area.
