Auli is a ski resort and high-altitude meadow at 2,519 to 3,050 metres in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, equipped with one of the highest cable car systems in Asia connecting it to the town of Joshimath. The slopes face south toward the Garhwal peaks, including Nanda Devi, Kamet, and Mana Peak, providing a photogenic winter backdrop while skiing. In summer, Auli's meadows become a trekking and camping base for routes into the Kuari Pass and Gorson Bugyal alpine pastures.
