Geneva is Switzerland's second-largest city and the principal French-speaking city, at the southwestern end of Lake Geneva where the Rhône exits the lake. The Jet d'Eau fountain rises 140 metres above the lake and is visible from most of the city. Geneva hosts a concentration of international institutions including the United Nations European headquarters and the International Red Cross, and the Parc des Bastions contains the Reformation Wall monument.
