This concert hall in central Geneva, opened in 1894, was built at the initiative of a British consul and named after Queen Victoria. Its ornate interior, richly decorated with gilding and painted ceilings, is prized for excellent acoustics and serves as a principal home of the city's symphony orchestra. Damaged by fire in the 1980s and carefully restored, it hosts orchestral concerts, recitals and chamber music. Located near the old town, its Belle Époque grandeur makes it one of the finest historic concert interiors in the region.
