Blue Square is a large performing arts complex in the Hannam area of Seoul, opened in 2011 and geared especially toward musicals and popular concerts. Its main theatre is among the biggest musical-dedicated auditoriums in the country, seating around 1,700, with a separate concert hall for pop and other shows. The venue helped fuel Korea's booming musical-theatre scene, staging both licensed international titles and homegrown productions. It also includes bookshops and cafes, making it a lively cultural gathering point.
